We will visit “Kobo Daishi aka Kukai” in Okunoin graveyard between early dinner and bedtime. Licensed guides who can speak English take you the enjoyable tour. You will see a mystical Okunoin which is totally different from the daytime.
We will go and descover the Okunoin cemetery between early dinner and bed time. The lantern lit in the dark, the silence of the night, it feels like a completely different place at night.
90 minutes tour around the largest historical cemetery in Japan: Okunoin. You will learn about legends,buddhist history and "Kobodaishi Kukai" the founder of the Shingon Buddism.
Surrounded by majestic ancient trees... If you are lucky, you will see flying squirrel, bat, owl, firefly...You will feel the history, religion, nature in the silence of a mystic ancient place..

Ekoin entranceThere is no pick-up service by bus to the meeting point, please come by foot or by public bus. After the tour the guide will take you(only the people who want to take the retern bus) from Gokusho to the bus stop The guide will get on the bus with participants and tell them the bus stop where they get off.
Parking at the meeting place (Ekoin) will be given priority to Ekoin guests, and it is not possible to park your car at Ekoin. We kindly ask you to come to the meeting place on foot or bus.
Take the bus ( bound for Okunoin-mae) from Koyasan station and get off the bus at Karukayado-mae. Go straight (90m) to the bus direction and meeting point (Ekoin) is in your right across the street.
