弊社「丸益西村屋」は、明治三十八年、初代西村松之助が手描友禅を業として以来百余年間、和装の染色一筋に携わってまいりました。
創業以来、一業に専念し、工芸染色の文化継承の精進を重ねてまいりましたが、長引く不況や、和装離れ、海外製品の流入等による伝統工芸界の危機的な状況での、生き残りの道を模索してまいりました。
そして、もっとみなさんに染色の世界を知って頂きたいとの想いから、10年程前に京町家「繭」を再生し、京友禅体験工房、風呂敷包み方体験教室を始めさせていただきました。

We are four friends traveling together, two women and two men. We ALL enjoyed ourselves so much. Our teacher was patient, helpful, professional and helped us any time we had a difficulty. She answered all our questions and let us stay as long as we needed. We really didn't want to leave. It was a relaxing, creative and fun activity. We will recommend it to all our friends.
It was a nice experience.
